As Doug Winter has pointed out, hundreds of 1891-CC half eagles have come back to the US from overseas where they were stored in bank vaults.  That means they can be extremely baggy and many times (over)dipped when returned to the market.  Instead, this is an original example with great color and luster, and a solid 63 that meets CACG's strict grading standards. Prices jump to $11000 (PCGS), and $9900 (CACG) in 64.
