Here is another 1880's proof that we were fortunate to acquire.  This Liberty Seated Proof Half Dollar in 65 has rich and colorful toning overlying undisturbed surfaces.  The first image uses axial lighting to bring out the rich toning on the mirrors and frosty devices.  The second image is taken with 2 lights against the lens, still showing the rich and colorful toning.  Abundant eye appeal on this gorgeous proof half dollar.
