This 1814 Capped Bust Half Dollar is an O-107 die marriage, die state 3 (i.e. 107.3).  The die state designation comes from the Bust Half Nut Club book on 'Die State Progressions of the Capped Bust Half Dollar Die Varieties 1807-1836.  There are 5 documented die states for O-107. The die state 107.3 is traced by having a die chip between the right upright and sloped center bar in N in UNITED on the reverse, which is absent in 107.2.  As with most O-107's, this example is heavily clashed on both sides.  It is rich in colorful toning expecially along the edges.  Just a really cool Bust Half.  PCGS Retail is listed at $1100 for this coin.

    For orders from this website, we accept returns for 7 days after receipt of coin by buyer.  Buyer must notify us at desertmoonnm@yahoo.com of return within that 7-day time frame.  Coin must be returned in its original plastic slab.   Buyer pays for return shipping.  Refund will be issued upon receipt of coin in the same condition (including the slab) as it was sent to the buyer.
